Acid Reflux happens to a person when your esophagus cannot hold back the acid from your stomach. This occurs when the acids goes back or flow back to your esophagus because the stomach cannot hold them anymore. When the lower part of your esophageal sphincter becomes weak that it cannot hold the gastric juices, these gastric juices will go upwards back to the esophagus. Because of this, you will feel uncomfortable and pain and leads to the feeling of heartburn, the burning sensation you feel in your chest. Heartburn is the most common symptom of heartburn. Heartburn may occur on people sometimes but when you frequently feel the burning sensation in your chest then you may have an Acid Reflux, which is also known as GERD.
