Comparing Memory Foam Beds
Memory foam beds are also called space foam because of its history of origin. It was primarily built for NASA to improve the safety of aircraft cushions. Its other name is visco-elastic foam. Whatever you call it, the fact is, memory foam is becoming more and more popular these days. Memory foam can do amazingly pretty things. Unfortunately, there are only a few well established memory foam brands circulating in the market. Several companies, though, are making competing claims and can be hard to sort it all out or to determine if their claim is true. And together with it, there are recent explosion of lower cost memory foam brands in the market and most of it are made in Asian factories. This kind of foam tends to be far less durable and typically does not have anywhere near the density of the original and more expensive memory foam brands. But it does not mean that the most expensive foam is the best. There are high quality alternatives that are priced reasonable but are not dirt cheap. But as a general rule, memory foam that is being offered in an unbelievably low price, beware. If you think it is too good to be true, then it is probably not what you think it is. Memory foam is a process intensive product that it takes time, technology and money to produce. Be very cautious of discount foam mattresses and toppers. That being said, the most expensive brand is not necessarily the best, either.
